Statistical analyses and maps representing mean, high, and low water-level conditions in the surface water and groundwater of Miami-Dade County were made by the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, to help inform decisions necessary for urban planning and development. This database includes water quality records compiled at the request of the Bureau of Land Management for the Uinta Basin in Utah and Colorado. All data contained within this database are publically available via the United States Geological Survey’s National Water Information System (NWIS) database (available at https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis). Data collected and provided by the states of Utah and Colorado were also analyzed, however, this data had also been submitted to, and was available in, NWIS by the time this database was compiled. These datasets contain information used to compile the report (USGS OFR 2016-1137). It contains water-quality data, analytical results of field blanks, and analytical results for environmental and replicate sample sets for surface-water samples collected during water years 2012 and 2013 for the Triangle Area Water Supply Monitoring Program (TAWSMP). The water-quality data contained in appendix 1 are field paramters and the analytical results for the constituents analyzed for the project. Appendix 2 contains the results of the field blanks, and the results for the environmental and replicate sample sets are presented in appendix 3.

This product is a series of six national 1-kilometer (km) raster datasets, for five year intervals between 1985 and 2010, representing USGS Water Use "Total Fresh Water Withdrawals", allocated to areas of land use representing anthropogenic use. Pixels representing anthropogenic uses (urban, agriculture, and mining land uses) are derived from the NAWQA Wall-to-wall Anthropogenic Land-use Trends (NWALT) product (Falcone, 2015), a series of decadal national raster datasets for the period 1974-2012. The raster datasets created here are intended as a source of information for estimating water use for watersheds, at the scale of HUC12 watersheds and coarser. Units are millions of gallons per day (mgd) per square km.
The dataset contains the environmental data collected for the Triangle Area Water Supply Monitoring Project. The data are from the samples collected during routine and storm-runoff sampling events during October 2011 through September 2013. Several study sites contained in this dataset were sampled for other USGS projects during the same time frame. Unless the samples at these sites were collected in conjunction with the Triangle Area Water Supply Monitoring Project, the data for other projects at these sites are not included in this dataset.

The U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District, City of Houston, Fort Bend Subsidence District, and Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District created this dataset that provides water‐level measurements, altitudes, and changes in water-level altitudes in the Chicot, Evangeline, and Jasper aquifers in the Houston‐Galveston region, Texas. The dataset shows current-year (2016-17) water-level altitudes, depth to water, and 1-year (2016-17) water-level changes of select wells screened in the Chicot, Jasper, or Evangeline aquifers. Mendenhall and others (1916) published depth-to-water data compiled in 1910 for all known wells in the San Joaquin Valley, California. Data for the 3,429 wells having depth-to-water of greater than zero feet were used to construct an interpolated depth-to-water surface for the entire SJV. This map represents groundwater levels in approximately 1910, prior to extensive development of the groundwater system. A depth-to-water contour map with contour lines of 5, 10, 15, and 25 meters below land surface was then drawn from this raster surface.

In this study, we combined two actual evapotranspiration datasets (ET), one obtained from a root zone water balance model and another from an energy balance model, to partition annual ET into green (rainfall-based) and blue (surface/groundwater) water sources. Time series maps of green water ET (GWET) and blue water ET (BWET) are produced for the conterminous United States (CONUS) over 2001–2015.

These data are classified maps of water in the Colorado River at a discharge of approximately 227 meters squared/second in Grand Canyon from Glen Canyon Dam to Pearce Ferry in Arizona. The data are derived from interpretation of multispectral high resolution airborne imagery that was acquired in May 2013. A camera was deployed to monitor cyanobacterial surface blooms occurring in Willow Creek Reservoir in Heppner, Oregon. The camera was positioned above the water and facing downwards to achieve the desired contrast in colors. With the appropriate permissions from USACE, the camera was attached to a railing of the Willow Creek Dam in the northwest corner of the reservoir about 70 feet above the surface of the water. The system was powered by a solar panel and large battery. The camera was programmed to take a series of 5 pictures from different angles every 15 minutes during daylight hours. Water-surface elevations were recorded by submerged pressure transducers in Spring, 2015 along the upper Willamette River, Oregon, between Eugene and Corvallis. The water-surface elevations were surveyed by using a real-time kinematic global positioning system (RTK-GPS) at each pressure sensor location.
