This document includes two suites of zircon U-Pb data that establish a detailed chronostratigraphy for Cenozoic strata exposed on Bat Mountain of the southern Funeral Mountains, California, USA. The first suite of data includes detrital zircon U-Pb age distributions that characterize the maximum depositional age and provenance of five sandstone samples from the Oligocene-Miocene Amargosa Valley Formation (N=4) and the Miocene Bat Mountain Formation (N=1). As part of the periodic update of the geothermal energy assessments for the USA (e.g., last update by Williams and others, 2008), a new three-dimensional temperature map has been constructed for the Great Basin, USA. Williams and DeAngelo (2011) identified uncertainty in estimates of conductive heat flow near land surface as the largest contributor to uncertainty in previously published temperature maps. Phenological dynamics of terrestrial ecosystems reflect the response of the Earth's vegetation canopy to changes in climate and hydrology and are thus important to monitor operationally. The data were collected at Morley Nelson, Birds of Prey National Conservation Area (NCA) where known grazing regimes, including the season of grazing, have been in practice for the last 30 years. Surveyed plots were placed to account for intensity of grazing and to avoid confounding disturbances. The need to monitor change in sagebrush steppe is urgent due to the increasing impacts of climate change, shifting fire regimes, and management practices on ecosystem health. Remote sensing provides a cost-effective and reliable method for monitoring change through time and attributing changes to drivers. Early Estimates of Exotic Annual Grass (EAG) in the Sagebrush Biome, USA, 2023 (ver. 6.0, June 2023)
These datasets provide early estimates of 2023 fractional cover for exotic annual grass (EAG) species and one native perennial grass species on a weekly basis from May to early July. The EAG estimates are developed typically within 7-13 days of the latest satellite observation used for that version. This tabular dataset is compiled surface-water diversion data from the West Walker River in Smith Valley, Nevada, and the East Walker, West Walker, and Walker Rivers in Mason Valley, Nevada, 1931-2020. Data for 1931-1995 are compiled from Pahl (2000), data for 1996-2011 from C. Garner (Desert Research Institute, written commun., 2020), and data for 2012-2020 from B. Bryan (Walker River Irrigation District, written commun., 2021). Data were compiled directly from data sources without alteration.

A raster identifying areas that met the criteria to be priority habitat before a fire disturbance occurred. This file is binary, a value of 1 indicates the pixel represents pre-fire priority habitat, a value of 0 indicates the pixel did not meet the criteria of selection, survival, and space-use to be considered pre-fire priority habitat.
Rasters representing median raven density estimates, calculated from approximately 28,000 raven point count surveys conducted between 2009 and 2019. Estimates were the result of a Bayesian hierarchical distance sampling model, using environmental covariates on detection and abundance.
