To accurately estimate agricultural water use or to project future water demands, a detailed inventory of current irrigated crop acreage is needed at a high level of resolution. In many Florida counties this kind of detailed high-resolution inventory is not available. A detailed digital map and summary of irrigated acreage during the 2015 growing season was developed for 13 of the 15 counties that compose the Suwannee River Water Management District. The U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Tug Hill Commission, the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Tug Hill Land Trust studied the northern and central parts of the Tug Hill glacial aquifer to help communities make sound decisions about the groundwater resource. This child item dataset contains locations of surface water discharge and water quality measurements for the northern and central parts of the Tug Hill glacial aquifer.

A shapefile of the extent of irrigated agricultural fields which includes an attribute table of the irrigated acreage for the period between November 2022 and June 2023 was compiled for the full county extents of Brevard, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Nassau, Osceola, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns, and Volusia Counties, Florida. These eleven counties are fully or partially within the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD). Attributes for each polygon that represents a field include a general or specific crop type, irrigation system, and primary water source for irrigation.

This dataset was compiled to summarize discharge measurements from several published groundwater and surface-water studies in the Ozarks of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. The discharge measurements were part of numerous USGS studies to assess interaction between streams and groundwater aquifers. A gaining stream is described as a surface-water stream that gains water from the groundwater aquifer and a losing stream is described as a surface-water stream that loses water to the groundwater aquifer. TEON uses a “nested” approach to data collection. The smallest unit within TEON is a Station. Stationsinclude discrete sampling locations or units (e.g., plot or transect) where repeated measures of a givenvariable are collected to create a time-series. Data collected at a station may be relevant to localconditions (e.g., soil temperature at a given site) or applicable to a larger area (e.g., streamgage locatedat the lower end of a watershed). A Site is a collection of stations that are typically located within closeproximity to each other. Sites are grouped into Watersheds. Watersheds will encompass many ecotypes and span multiple ecoregions. Watersheds in aggregate form the TEON network.

This dataset features inundated areas connected to the main channel at discharges from 15,000 cfs to 95,000 cfs. The spatial extent for floodplain inundation modeling in the lower Trinity River was from Romayor, Texas, to approximately Moss Bluff, Texas. River sections were modeled using steady flow conditions. For the upper section, discharge and stage were both available for the two gages (Romayor USGS 08066500 and Liberty USGS 08067000). Monthly water yields for 105,829 catchments and corresponding flows for 107,691 stream segments were estimated for water years 1951-2012 in the United States part of the Great Lakes Basin. Estimates were computed using the AFINCH (Analysis of Flows In Networks of CHannels) application within the NHDPlus geospatial data framework. We propose to empirically characterize hydrology/fish-production relationships for different ecological groups of fishes living in the Red River and associated reservoir habitats by: 1. Correlating historic hydrologic data with catch curve residuals, and 2. Annual growth rate estimates of fish collected from the Red River and associated reservoirs.
