This portion of the USGS data release presents bathymetry data collected during surveys performed in the Columbia River littoral cell, Washington and Oregon in 2017 (USGS Field Activity Number 2017-666-FA). Bathymetry data were collected using four personal watercraft (PWCs) equipped with single-beam sonar systems and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers. The sonar systems consisted of an Odom Echotrac CV-100 single-beam echosounder and 200 kHz transducer with a 9 degree beam angle. Raw acoustic backscatter returns were digitized by the echosounder with a vertical resolution of 1.25 cm. Bathymetric data were collected with a single-beam echosounder in 2022 for 18 selected shallow (0-3 meters) areas to improve a digital elevation model (DEM) for Rainy Lake and Namakan Reservoir created by Environment and Climate Change Canada. Bathymetric data were collected in transects spaced approximately 20 meters apart. In addition to the bathymetric data, the locations and elevations of observed water surface and recovered high-water marks are being provided at select locations because of the high water observed during bathymetric data collection after a spring flood in 2022.

Water depths were measured during November 2015 and bathymetric elevations were computed for the lower Sixmile Creek reservoir in Ithaca, Tompkins County, N.Y. These data include ADCP-measured transect data and manually-measured point data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey, Ithaca, N.Y., during November 16-20, 2015. These data were used by the GIS Program, City of Ithaca, N.Y., to create a bathymetric surface (TIN) of the reservoir.

This data release presents beach topography and nearshore bathymetry data from repeated surveys performed by a team of scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey, Washington State Department of Ecology, and Oregon State University in the Columbia River littoral cell (CRLC), Washington and Oregon.
