This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides whole rock major, minor, and trace element geochemical data from the fluorine-rich Mount Emmons-Redwell porphyry molybdenum (Climax-type) deposit (Mt. Emmons-Redwell deposit), located approximately 5.6 km (3.5 mi) northwest of Crested Butte, Colorado. The Mt. Emmons-Redwell deposit partly underlies Redwell Basin on the northwest flank of Mount Emmons in the west-central region of the Colorado Mineral Belt. Mineralization of the Mt. High-resolution single-channel Chirp and minisparker seismic-reflection data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in September and October 2006, offshore Bolinas to San Francisco, California. Data were collected aboard the R/V Lakota, during field activity L-1-06-SF. Chirp data were collected using an EdgeTech 512 chirp subbottom system and were recorded with a Triton SB-Logger. Minisparker data were collected using a SIG 2-mille minisparker sound source combined with a single-channel streamer, and both were recorded with a Triton SB-Logger.

Airborne geophysical surveys were conducted in the eastern Adirondacks from Dec. 7, 2015 - Dec. 21, 2015, by Goldak Airborne Surveys. The area was flown along a draped surface with a nominal survey height above ground of 200 meters. The flight line spacing was 250 meters for traverse lines and 2500 meters for control lines. This publication provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution horizontal magnetic gradient and radiometric survey over an area of southeast Missouri and western Illinois. The survey represents the first airborne geophysical survey conducted as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Mapping Resource Initiative (Earth MRI) effort (Day, 2019). The region limits were described in written text and depicted in figures in Bohman (1990, 1992), but have not been provided as geospatial layers (due to the age of the original publications). This dataset consists of 122 magnetotelluric (MT) soundings collected in 2016 in the northern Harrat Rahat, located near the holy city of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah in Saudi Arabia. These data were collected as part of a joint project between the U.S. Geological Survey and the Saudi Geological Survey examining the volcanic hazard associated with the harrat. Imaging the 3-D electrical resistivity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath the harrat will help in understanding the magmatic system at depth.

The U.S. Geological Survey obtained measurements of channel geometry, flow velocity, and river discharge from five rivers in Alaska September 18–20, 2016, to support research on remote sensing of river discharge. The streamflow data were acquired from the Knik, Matanuska, Chena, and Salcha Rivers and Montana Creek using TeleDyne RD Instruments Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), including the RioPro, StreamPro, and RiverRay models. This data release is part of a 2016-2019 study on the geology, geochemistry and geochronology of ore systems in the eastern Yukon-Tanana Upland region, Alaska. Whole rock chemistry was conducted on 185 samples, mostly from Au prospects, with lesser samples from porphyry Cu prospects. Geographically, most samples are from gold prospects near the Pogo Au mine and east to Black Mountain in the Big Delta quadrangle. Airborne electromagnetic (AEM) and magnetic survey data were collected during February 2016 along 300 line kilometers in the western Yukon Flats near Stevens Village, Alaska. Data were acquired with the CGG RESOLVE frequency-domain helicopter-borne electromagnetic systems together with a Scintrex Cesium Vapour CS-3 magnetometer. State and local county health departments have detected per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater downgradient of airports and military and firefighting training areas in Long Island, New York. However, the occurrence and spatial distribution of PFAS throughout the surficial aquifer is not well established.
