"The dataset consists of tiled orthogonal imagery produced from nadir images captured by Pictometry International between May 13th, 2010 to May 28th 2011. Automatic aerial triangulation (AAT) was performed. The triangulated frames were rectified to a LiDAR derived DEM. Mosaicing was performed using an automatic seaming algorithm and manually edited to eliminate seams through elevated features where possible. NOTE: As stipulated prior to production of ortho-imagery, source frames from an existing imagery collection were to be utilized. As such, the imagery may contain long shadows, haziness, and cloud shadows. Pictometry has corrected for this where possible and has made every effort to bring the final dataset into...

Acoustic sampling for occurrence of the endangered Hawaiian hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus semotus) was conducted at 18 "long-term" acoustic monitoring stations on 12 Hawaii Army National Guard (HIARNG) installations across the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai between 2012 and 2018. Hawaiian hoary bat insect prey sampling with paired acoustic monitoring was conducted at Keaukaha Military Reservation (KMR) on Hawaii Island from May to August, 2018. At this property, a herd of domestic goats (occasionally mixed with domestic sheep) were rotated among grazing plots as part of a weed control program managed by HIARNG. We sampled insect abundance and community within the area where goats were used for...
This single raster dataset has five different bands, one band for each of the five Bioclim models computed, based on different subsets of the available CRB occurrence data including: 1) all available global data (excluding Hawaii); 2) only occurrences within CRB's native range; 3) only occurrences in the species non-native range (excluding Hawaii); 4) only occurrences in the species insular non-native range (excluding Hawaii).; and 5) only occurrences collected in Hawaii by the CRB response team. Detailed methods for each model are described in the associated xml metadata file.

This data release provides flooding extent polygons (flood masks) and depth values (flood points) based on wave-driven total water levels for 22 locations within the States of Hawaii and Florida, the Territories of Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. For each of the 22 locations there are eight associated flood mask polygons and flood depth point files: one for each four nearshore wave energy return periods (rp; 10-, 50-, 100-, and 500-years) and both with (wrf) and without (worf) the presence of coral reefs. These flood masks can be combined with economic, ecological, and engineering tools to provide a rigorous financial valuation...
This dataset contains O'ahu resident count estimates as a function of travel time out of the standard and extreme tsunami-evacuation zones for three different travel speeds (impaired, slow, and fast walk). The data are organized in a manner which permits summarizing or visualizing the data by tsunami-evacuation zone and/or travel time, with communities listed across the top as columns and individual rows representing the number of residents present in the specific evacuation zone/travel time combination. Due to the nature of the methodology used to distribute residential population to structures, resident numbers are not integers. This dataset is intended for use in the U.S. Geological Survey's O'ahu, HI tsunami...

The travel time map was generated using the Pedestrian Evacuation Analyst model from the USGS (https://geography.wr.usgs.gov/science/vulnerability/tools.html). The travel time analysis uses ESRI's Path Distance tool to find the shortest distance across a cost surface from any point in the hazard zone to a safe zone. This cost analysis considers the direction of movement and assigns a higher cost to steeper slopes, based on a table contained within the model. The analysis also adds in the energy costs of crossing different types of land cover, assuming that less energy is expended walking along a road than walking across a sandy beach. To produce the time map, the evacuation surface output from the model is grouped...
