Summary
This data release includes GIS shapefiles and metadata for location of the study area and phytoplankton taxonomy counts determined by Dr. Russel Rhodes, Faculty Emeritus, Department of Biology, Missouri State University, in three north Louisiana reservoirs: Cross Lake, Bayou D'Arbonne Lake, and Poverty Point Reservoir, June 2009-February 2011. These data and GIS coverages complement and support the findings in the companion report by Tollett and others (in review).

Purpose
This data set provides the geographical background of the Poverty Point Reservoir study area in north Louisiana during 2009-2011. The zip folder called "Poverty_Point" includes all of the shapefiles required to produce a complete image in ArcGIS of the study area, including the location of two specific sites that were sampled for the study. Inside this folder, the shapefiles are separated into two folders called "Watershed_Data_Frame" and "Lake_Data_Frame." Additionally, this dataset includes a zip folder called "Phytoplankton_PovertyPoint_Tables" that contains phytoplankton density and biovolume data in CSV file format for each site during that time period. Each CSV file in the zip folder is paired with individual metadata.
