The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Grand River Dam Authority, computed a 2009 capacity and area table of Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. The capacity and area table defines the relation between the elevation of the water surface and the volume and area of water that is impounded. The capacity and area of Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees were computed from a Triangular Irregular Network (TIN) surface created in Esri ArcGIS 10.5.1, a geographic information system (GIS). This data release provides gradient self-potential (SP), conductivity, and temperature measurements made during an investigation of surface-water and groundwater exchange in Lake Travis near Austin, Texas, where the Colorado River is incised into two zones of the Cretaceous-age Trinity aquifer (the lower-zone, and several hydrostratigraphic units of the middle zone). In May 2021, the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, logged 9 previously drilled boreholes in the bedrock beneath Bull Shoals Dam with acoustic and optical televiewer geophysical methods. The acoustic and optical televiewer logging results were used to identify fractures and small bedding planes in the bedrock beneath the dam using the image and structure interpretation module of Well CAD (v.5.4). This data release consists of each geophysical log in standard log American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) text (.las) format and a comma separated (.csv) file detailing the fracture and bedding plane analysis completed on each geophysical log.

The hydrogeology of the Cannon Air Force Base (AFB) in Curry County, is being investigated to better understand the mechanics of groundwater flow in the area, including the identification of preferential groundwater flow paths. Mapping the top of the Dockum Group was done to help identify potential paleochannels that may have eroded the surface of the Dockum Group and subsequently filled in with coarse-grained sediments of the overlying Ogallala Formation. The Dockum Group is composed of sandstone, siltstone, mudstone, and shale that were originally deposited in fluvial and lacustrine environments (McGowen and others, 1979). This data release consists of three different types of geoelectric data measured along three curvilinear profiles during two separate geophysical surveys completed on July 9, 2017 and January 9, 2018. The datasets include three self-potential (SP) profiles, two spatially-coincident electric contact-resistance (CR) profiles, and two spatially-coincident electric resistance tomography (ERT) tomograms. This data release contains geophysical data and well and borehole driller's logs acquired at a small field site in the Llano Uplift of central Texas. The field site is underlain by the unconfined Precambrian Granite Gravel aquifer and the Precambrian Town Mountain Granite bedrock from which the Granite Gravel Aquifer was derived through chemical and mechanical weathering. This data release documents socioeconomic and water demand indicators for the Mekong River delta region. The Mekong River provides many valuable benefits to the 60 million Southeast Asian residents living in its Basin. Maintaining adequate supplies of water in the Mekong River Basin is vital for food security. However, the Mekong River Basin is increasingly stressed by infrastructure development, growing water demands, and land cover change, in addition to climate change. The datasets in this data release contain the results of an analysis of the U.S. Geological Survey's historical water-use data from 1985 to 2015. Data were assessed to determine the top category of water-use by volume. Data from groundwater, surface water, and total water (groundwater plus surface water) use were parsed by water type, and the top category of use by county or the geographic region or local government equivalent to a county (for example, parishes in Louisiana) was determined.
