Daily subreach output from the transit-loss accounting program for Monument and Fountain Creeks, Colorado, 1988-22 This data release includes output data from the transit-loss accounting program for the Fountain and Monument Creek watersheds in El Paso and Pueblo Counties, Colorado. The output data distinguish between native and reusable streamflow. Native streamflow is that which originates naturally within the watershed. Reusable streamflow originates as water imported from outside the watershed, water derived from pumping of certain groundwaters, or as other water with rights that allow it to be reused. The program accounts for reusable water throughout the watershed, as well as the total inflow and outflow of water to each subreach division within the watershed. Suspended sediments were collected by passive samplers deployed in the stream channel of the watershed outlets during four study periods between August 2018 and August 2019. Potential sediment source type samples were collected in the watersheds in duplicate using compositing techniques that targeted the top 5 centimeters of soil. The four potential sediment source-types were: agricultural fields, rangeland, arroyo walls, and streambanks. Source type samples were wet sieved to less than (<) 63 microns (µm)... Two types of data are included here. First are daily average effluent discharge rates from the Las Vegas Street Wastewater Treatment Facility and JD Phillips Water Resource Recovery Facility along with the sum of rates on dates with available data. Second are daily total volumes of potable water delivered to customers as summed from multiple facilities. The data were released by Colorado Springs Utilities, which performed its own quality control checks on the data. The data span the years 2008 to 2022 but are not complete for all parameters for that time frame. The data provide context for understanding water use...
