This data set consists of the results of the statistical analysis (Asquith and others, 2020) of the remaining 10,295 water level records that met specific criteria to ensure that the water level records were representative of true groundwater conditions in the Mississippi River Valley alluvial aquifer. The data are provided in a CSV file named StatisticalAnalysis.csv, and in the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) shapefile format consisting of a group of files that have been compressed into a zip archive named StatisticalAnalysis.zip.

This dataset consists of points representing selected well site locations and water-level measurements used by Lopes and Allander (2009) to develop autumn 2006 groundwater-level altitude contours for Smith and Mason Valleys, and the lower Walker River basin, Nevada. Since the publication of Lopes and Allander (2009), the positional coordinates and land-surface altitudes at selected well sites used to develop autumn 2006 groundwater-level contours in that report were updated as part of a 2022 U.S. Geological Survey study (Davies and Naranjo, 2022).

This data set consists of polylines representing groundwater-level altitude contours, 1982, for middle Humboldt River basin, north-central Nevada as published on plate 2, figure 3 in the U.S. Geological Survey Water-Resources Investigations Report 98-4209 titled "Hydrogeologic framework and ground-water levels, 1982 and 1996, middle Humboldt River basin, north-central Nevada," 1999. A subset of the contours were published as part of a larger data set representing water-table contours for Nevada (Buto and others, 2006). The remaining contours have been added to complete this data set. This dataset contains absolute-gravity measurements made using an A-10 absolute gravity meter (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) in 2019 in Pinal County, Arizona. Measurements were made at a total of 19 different stations used by the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) to monitor aquifer-storage changes. Data are presented in tabular and spatial vector (point) form, including relevant parameters used for processing. Data were output by g software (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) version 9.12.04.23. A correction for laser-frequency drift was applied, based on regular calibration of the HeNe laser used in the A-10 against an iodine-stabilized laser.

This dataset is the result of measurements of groundwater levels in the Equus Beds aquifer near Wichita, Kansas, in January 2016. Potentiometric surfaces are interpolated for the shallow and deep parts of the aquifer, and rasters of the potentiometric surfaces are included in this data release. Wells were classified as being screened in the shallow or deep parts of the aquifer based on station name (some wells have a layer identifier in the station name) or, if no indication of aquifer layer was given in the station name, based on the depth of the well; wells with depths less than 80 feet below land surface were classified as shallow and wells with depths of 80 feet or deeper were classified as deep. Contours with...

This data set contains two sets of measured water-level data collected on and near Offutt Air Force Base near Bellevue, Nebraska. Surface-water and groundwater-level data were collected for two synoptic water-level surveys completed in late summer of 2020 and in spring 2021. The elevations of surface-water features were surveyed with a rover receiver using a real-time network (RTN), where the rover receiver receives real-time position corrections from a central server through a mobile wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) hotspot linked to the rover receiver. Data collection procedures ensured that positions and elevations achieved a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Level-III survey accuracy and surveyed surface-water elevations...

These data include groundwater-level data from 59 wells measured from July to August 2017. Measured groundwater data are also available from the USGS National Water Information System (U.S. Geological Survey, 2018) Well locations were selected from three sources: previously reported sites (Kresse and Hays, 2009), site reconnaissance, and driller’s logs obtained from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission driller database. This dataset contains 50-ft contours for the Hot Springs shallowest unit of the Ouachita Mountains aquifer system potentiometric-surface map. The potentiometric-surface shows altitude at which the water level would have risen in tightly-cased wells and represents synoptic conditions during the summer of 2017. Contours were constructed from 59 water-level measurements measured in selected wells (locations in the well point dataset). Major streams and creeks were selected in the study area from the USGS National Hydrography Dataset (U.S. Geological Survey, 2017), and the spring point dataset with 18 spring altitudes calculated from 10-meter digital elevation model (DEM) data (U.S. Geological Survey, 2015; U.S. Geological...

This dataset contains the original water level records extracted from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ (MoDNR) Well Information Management System (WIMS). It consists of records of wells drilled in or through the Mississippi River Valley alluvial aquifer in a 7-county area in southeast Missouri as reported by the well drillers. Records that met specific criteria were identified and used for further statistical analysis to ensure that a particular well was open to the aquifer. Records that did not meet the selected criteria were identified and noted in the dataset with the identifier of "Threshold 1" through “Threshold 6”, which are fully explained in the metadata. Each original record can be found in...

This dataset contains the final water level records (10,132) that meet all threshold criteria and had an absolute residual less than 20 feet. The threshold of 20 feet was selected based on water level changes of the U.S. Geological Survey groundwater site 363551090152801 (Qulin) in the Mississippi River Valley alluvial aquifer. The data are provided in a CSV file named FinalDataset.csv, and in the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) shapefile format consisting of a group of files that have been compressed into a zip archive named FinalDataset.zip.

Four boreholes (MW1, MW1UZ, MW2, MW2.1) were drilled in the fall of 2017 and summer of 2018 in upper Redwell Basin, a headwater catchment underlain by hydrothermally altered sedimentary rock in the Elk Mountains near the town of Crested Butte, Colorado. The boreholes were continuously cored using a wireline HQ-sized coring system and sample a combination of Quaternary-aged surficial colluvium and the Cretaceous-aged Mesaverde Formation. In-situ injection-based hydraulic tests were performed in MW1 and MW2 during drilling while advancing using a single-packer apparatus in tandem with an in-line flow meter and interval pressure monitoring. Borehole geophysical logging was performed in MW1, MW1UZ, and MW2.1 in the...
